Aid a Pet Announces New Pet Food Pantry
A Mission to Support Pets and Their Families
Aid a Pet is proud to announce that Life Scout Logan Dunn is leading the construction of a new pet food pantry as part of his Eagle Scout project. This initiative will provide a dedicated and organized space for storing and distributing pet food and supplies to families in need.

Addressing a Growing Need
Aid a Pet, a volunteer-driven organization, operates out of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Hartford, providing essential pet care resources to individuals facing financial hardship. Currently, pet food distribution efforts are limited by storage constraints. Logan’s project will help alleviate these challenges by building a secure and efficient pantry to house supplies, allowing Aid a Pet to expand its services.
Logan Dunn’s Leadership in Action
As part of his Eagle Scout leadership requirement, Logan is overseeing the entire construction process. His project includes building two new wood-frame walls with sheetrock sheathing, installing a lockable door and a passthrough window, and assembling five rolling shelving units for organized storage. The estimated cost of materials and labor for this project is approximately $4,000, and Logan is actively seeking community support to help fund its completion. Any additional funds raised will go directly toward supporting Aid a Pet’s ongoing mission.

A Lasting Impact
"We are incredibly grateful for Logan’s initiative and dedication," said Lorie Reardon, Founder of Aid a Pet. "His leadership and hard work will create a lasting impact, ensuring that we can better serve pet owners in need."
How to Support the Project
Logan’s project embodies the spirit of Scouting—demonstrating responsibility, leadership, and a commitment to community service. Aid a Pet encourages those who wish to support this effort to consider making a donation or spreading the word about this important project.
